    Dear colleagues and friends,
    After a consultation with the consular office of the Ministry of foreign affair of Bulgaria, I would like to let you know that individuals from the Balkan countries which are not EU members, can travel to Bulgaria without visas, under the condition that their international passports contain biometrical data.
    Citizens of the Greek part of Cyprus and Israel do not visa, either.

    The Organizing Committee has the honor to invite you to participate in the 7th ICEVI Balkan Conference, to be held from 20 to 23.10.2019 in Hotel Ramada, Sofia, Bulgaria. The main theme of the conference is: "Free access, real educational inclusion and unlimited technologies".

    Conference fee – 70 Euro, which includes: conference bag with materials, flash memory with conference papers and food during the conference. The conference fee must be sent by bank transfer to the following account of Bulgarian Association for Education of Visually Impaired Children: BG85UNCR70001522182001 (Unicredit Bulbank, branch Hemus).

    PARTICIPATION

    Arrival Day – 20 October 2019

    Participation fee – 70 Euro, which includes: conference bag with materials, flash memory with the full text of the conference papers and meals during the conference. The fee must be sent by bank transfer to the following account of Bulgarian Association for Education of Visually Impaired Children: BG85UNCR70001522182001 (Unicredit Bulbank, branch Hemus) no later than 15.09.2019!

    Working languages: English and Bulgarian.

    Simultaneous translation will be provided only during plenary sessions. Parallel sessions will be held in English.

    In relation to the main theme, we developed the following thematic areas:

    1. Access to inclusive education.

    2. Development of social and emotional competencies.

    3. Access to programs for independent living and social participation.

    4. Access to technology.

    5. Orientation and mobility.

    6. Low Vision Training.

    7. Early iintervention.

    8. Education of children with multiple disabilities.

    9. Updating school programs.

    10. Career Development and Vocational Training.



    Duration of the presentations – 15 MINUTES.

    1. Forming the paper should be as follows:

    Title – Font Size 14, in Capital Letters, Center, Bold;

    The two names of the author (s), scientific rank and scientific degree, work place and e-mail – Font Size 14, Lower case, Center, Bold;

    Blank order;

    Abstract – Font Size 12, First Line: 1 cm, Bold;

    Blank order;

    Text of the paper – Font Size 12.

    2. The text part of the paper should be formatted according to the following requirements:

    • Font – Times New Roman 12;

    Page Setup – Top: 25 mm, Bottom: 25 mm, Left: 25 mm, Right: 25 mm;

    Paper Size – A4;

    Line Spacing – Single;

    First Line: 1 cm.

    3. Tables and graphics should have a numbering and a name above them, aligned to the right;

    4. The citation of literary sources in the text should be in round brackets, in the following form: author (s), year of publication, page (s);

    5. The references should be applied at the end of the report as follows:

    Non-Periodical Press: Author / Collective Author / Editor (Year of Issue). Title. Place of Publication: Publisher.

    Periodical Press: Author / Collective Author / Editor (Year of Issue). Title. In: Source, Number / Volume, Pages, Place of Publication: Publisher.

    Electronic media and web addresses: Author (s), "Title of the material" (in quotes), Title of the whole work (in italics or underlined), Publication date; <Exact source address - in triangular brackets> (Access Date - in round brackets).





    ACCOMMODATION

    The hotel reservations and accommodation conditions are presented in the enclosed form in PDF format of Hotel Ramada, which should be:

    t to the e-mail of Ramada Hotel (listed in the form). The Organizing Committee managed to negotiate very reasonable prices and good accommodation conditions.



    TRANSPORT



    Hotel Ramada is located in the central part of Sofia, next to the railway station and the central bus station. If you arrive by train or bus, you can reach the hotel on foot for 2-3 minutes by crossing only one tunnel. For those arriving by car, the hotel offers favorable parking conditions.

    Apart from a taxi (which should cost appr. 10-15 BGN), another way to arrive at Hotel Ramada from Sofia Airport is to take the metro from the airport and at “Serdika” station to change to line 2 heading to Nadezhda”, travelling 2 more stations and getting off at the central railway station.

    All conference events: the welcome party, the coffee breaks, the lunches and the closing dinner are free and will be held in Hotel Ramada, which will also facilitate the visually impaired participants.



    USEFUL INFORMATION



    The cultural and commercial center of Sofia is just two stops away from Hotel Ramada by metro or tram. The ticket price for public transport in Sofia is 1.60 BGN (appr. 0.80 EURO) for a single ticket for a metro, tram or bus. It is possible to purchase one-day travel card for the whole city network of Sofia at a price of 4 BGN (appr. 2 EURO).

    All payments on the territory of Bulgaria are made in Bulgarian Leva (BGN). There is an exchange office in Ramada Hotel.
